Future Therapy Dogs

Hello Friends! Sorry it's been so long since I posted here. Lots going on, writers block...please accept my apologies. Anyway, I'm back today to tell you about an awesome opportunity my friend Pogo and I had today.

So you know how I loooooovvvve people, right? Well, for some time now I've been considering becoming a therapy dog to reach out and give back since I have such a great life here at the Ranch. Today, I took the leap and had my first evaluation to becoming an official therapy dog.

Pam Wilson at Therapy Dogs, Inc. was nice enough to meet us at Spanish Meadows and Pogo and I visited several residents to see how we interacted. We both passed with flying colors!

Let me stop for a minute and tell you about Pogo. Pogo is a sweet poodle who was found in a crate on the side of the road by a kind policeman. His leg was mangled and couldn't be saved, but thankfully, he does great on three legs (hence the name Pogo). Pogo was adopted recently from CAP by Adrienne, one of WT's receptionists. Adrienne's daughter Cassie is Pogo's best buddy.

Anyway, both Pogo and I are well on our way to becoming therapy dogs. We have two more observations in different settings, but I will definitely let you know when we are officially certified!

My Waggin' Tails Family is so proud of me and Pogo!
